FTX: EU EGHP Popham Airfield - EGHP Popham, located near Basingstoke, Hampshire and is developed for FTX England. Popham is the home of the Spitfire Flying Club which has over 400 members. The Club name is retained in memory of Charles Church who owned several Spitfires and whose family still own the airfield. There are 100+ aircraft based here, ranging from Microlights to ex-Russian fighter trainers. We have tried to capture both the history and natural beauty of the airport and surrounding area. Almost every single object seen in the real airport has been accurately modeled and positioned, allowing you to immerse yourself in a realistic flight simulation environment.

FTX: EU EGTR Elstree Airfield - Elstree Aerodrome is Russ White's second UK airport. Combining with 1cm, 2cm and 3cm resolution ground poly areas and with the on-location photography of John Lovell, you will be completely immersed in the scenery here. The aerodrome is located in Elstree, which is situated 2.6 nautical miles east of Watford, Hertfordshire, England. EGTR started out in the 1930s as a small landing strip and came into its own during World War II when it was used for the overhaul and repair of military aircraft. After 1945 Halifax freighters operated from Elstree and several charter companies took up residence. Since then, Elstree has become one of the foremost general aviation airfields in the country and has become a popular venue for visiting pilots.

This product tells of the individual stories of 15 different Mustangs, that combined tell of the greater developmental and service legacy of the P-51D & F-51D from WWII to Korea, and from WWII until the present day. The product features the following aircraft, which have all been developed as different aircraft from one another, throughout, ensuring that each is accurate and authentic through the over-all airframes, cockpits, aft cockpits, gun bays and wheel wells to each specific variant. Throughout development, the original NAA blueprint drawings, USAAF and USAF Technical Orders, assembly and maintenance manual, pilot's manuals, period photographs, and other leading research and resources were all consulted.
